Saying that 4< square root x <9 is equivalant to saying wat about x? 16< x <81. Im totally lost on this. Please help
**
4< square root x <9
4 < √x < 9
square every term to get rid of radical x
16 < x < 81
What this says is that the value of x is between 16 and 81, but does not include those numbers.
On a number line it will look like this:
<.........(16<===>81).............>
In interval notation: (16,81)
