Question 513064: Use the difference of squares along with factoring by grouping.
p4 - 10p2 + 25 - t4

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20054)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
p4 - 10p2 + 25 - t4

Factor the first three terms

(p2-5)(p2-5) - t4

(p2-5)2 - t4

Factor as the difference of squares:

[(p2-5) - t2][(p2-5) + t2]

Remove the inner parentheses

[p2 - 5 - t2][p2 - 5 + t2]

Change the brackets to parentheses:

(p2 - 5 - t2)(p2 - 5 + t2)

It's customary to put the constant term last:

(p2 - t2 - 5)(p2 + t2 -5)
