Question 492216: im having problems with understanding solving add/subt & multiplying radical problems
Answer by chessace(471)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To add and subt, the radicals (index and quantity inside) must be the same.
To multiply and divide, the index (2 for sqrt) must be the same, then just multiply the quants inside.
E.g., sqrt(6) * sqrt(10) = sqrt(60) = 4 * sqrt(15).
