two pertinent facts:
___ if r is a root (zero) of a polynomial, then x-r is a factor of the polynomial
___ complex roots (containing i) occur in conjugate pairs (x+i and x-i)
using these facts, the FACTORS of the polynomial are:
(x-1)(x-1)(x-1)[x-(1+i)][x-(1-i)]
multiplying the factors together will yield the polynomial
