Question 489231: How is 2 less than the quotient of 5 and a number x written?
Answer by chessace(471) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(5/x)-2
I would have said "divided by" instead of "and".
As written, it could be a "guzinta" and answer is (x/5)-2.
My Math Dictionary under Quotient does not give any default for "and".
Bad statement.
