24 = 4 * 6
square root of 4 is equal to 2 so you can remove the 4 from under the square root and replace it with a 2 outside the square root sign.
the 6 can't be removed so it stays under the square root sign.
use your calculator and you will see that is the same as
if that's what you're asking then that's the answer.
