Question 468387: Please help me find the domain of this function
Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The domain specifies all values that makes sense for 'x'.
You only have to eliminate numbers that drives the denominator to zero.
x^2+x-6 = 0
(x-3)(x+2) = 0
x = {-2,3} (these are the numbers that must be eliminated)
.
thus the domain (in interval notation) is
(-oo, -2) U (-2,3) U (3, +oo)
where
oo is infinity
