Showelling the snow is one job
Sue 30 minutes
she does 1/30 of the job in 1 minute
Jim 35 minute
he does 1/35 of thejob in 1 minute
Together they will do 1/30 + 1/35 +
Together they will do 6/97 of the job in one minute
So they will take 16 1/7 minutes

(7y-14/(2-y)
-7(2-y)/(2-y)
=-7

Calculations in the post by @mananth are incorrect and should be redone  (polished).
I came to make the job accurately and to present it an a way as it  SHOULD  be done.

Sue makes of the job per minute.

Jim makes of the job per minute.

Working together, they make

     + = = = =

of the job per minute.

So, they need = 16 minutes working together.

Solved correctly and presented properly.

Assume each works on the same driveway.
Sue, 30 minutes for the job
Jim, 35 minutes the same job
The two of them working together, driveway per minutes

or looking at reciprocal
minutes per driveway
approximately 16 minutes
