2x - 3 = longest side {longest side is 3 less than twice smallest side}
2x - 7 = middle side {middle side is 4 less than longest side}
x + 2x - 3 + 2x - 7 = 35 {perimeter of triangle is 35}
5x - 10 = 35 {combined like terms}
5x = 45 {added 10 to both sides}
x = 9 {divided both sides by 5}
2x - 3 = 15 {substituted 9, in for x, into 2x - 3}
2x - 7 = 11 {substituted 9, in for x, into 2x - 7}
the three sides are 9cm, 15cm, and 11cm
