Question 417094: Test 3x+2y=4 for symmetry with respect to the line y=x
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Test 3x+2y=4 for symmetry with respect to the line y=x
y = (-3/2)x+2
----
It is not symmetric to y = x.
Since the the slope of y = x is "1"
The slope of a symmetric line would
have to be "-1".
---
The given line has a slope of -3/2
