I'm assuming that Q and q are two different variables (ie I'm assuming that there isn't a capitalization error)


Start with the given equation.


Subtract 2.34 from both sides.


Rearrange the equation.


So the solution is

Find q:
Q = 2.34+q Subtract 2.34 from both sides.
Q-2.34 = q or q = Q-2.34 and that's the best you can do. If you know the value of Q however, then you can find the value of q.
