Question 390474: Solve by elimination:
0 =-15 + 2 x-y
0 =5 x + 5 y

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve by elimination:
0 =-15 + 2 x-y
0 =5 x + 5 y
-------------
Rearrange:
2x - y = 15
5x + 5y = 0
--------------------
Modify:
2x-y = 15
x +y = 0
----
Add and solve for "x":
3x = 15
x = 5
----
Since x+y = 0, y = -5
