Question 385830: Solving inequalities. Explain to me how to solve 1/2x<4
Answer by gwendolyn(128) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/2x<4 is a simple one step inequality.
Since you want to put x alone on one side, both sides must be divided by 1/2. Because 1/2 is not negative, we won't have to flip the "less than" sign.
1/2x<4
We can multiply by 2 here or divide by 1/2, as they are the same thing.
x<8
We cannot simplify the inequality any further, so "x<8" is our answer.
