Question 348069: Please can you help me solve jodie bicycles 7km/h faster than dennis in the same time it takes dennis to bicycle 60km, jodie can bicycyle 81km, how fast does each bicyclist travel? Thank you
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
dennis's speed be x kph
Jodie's speed = x+7 kph
...
Dennis 60 km
Jodie = 81 km
...
The times are same
...
60(x+7)=81x
60x+420=81x
81x-60x=420
21x=420
/21
x=420/21
x=20 kph speed of Dennis
x+7 = 20+7 = 27 = Jodie's speed
