is the amount the other will pay. The sum is the total amount paid.
Solve for
to get one amount, then subtract that amount from $192,000 to get the other amount.

8750 +2x/3

x+2x/3 +8750 = 192000
x+2x/3 = 192000-8750
(3x+2x)/3 = 183250
5x/3 = 183250
multiply by 3
5x = 3 * 183250
divide by 5
x= 3*183250/5
One will invest $109,950
The other the balance 192000-109950
= $ 82,050
