If x = yz, find the value for x given that y = 2 and z = 5

In the equation

 x = yz

Replace y by (2) and replace z by (5). So you have

 x = (2)(5)

Now multiply the 2 by the 5 and write 10 instead of (2)(5):

 x = 10

That's the answer.
