Question 307948: how do you factor 6x-30?
Answer by TX911(36) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find a common divisor of both numbers and in this case 6 is of course divisible by 6 and 30 is also divisible by 6. So if you divide 6 by 6 we are just left with an x and if you divide -30 by 6 we are left with -5. So factored, this expression would read simply (x-5)
