Question 296834: What is x to the second power+3y to the second power+2xy for x=5 and y=1
Answer by blwinbbbles(106) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
So the equation would be
x^2 + 3y^2 + 2xy then you will sub 5 for x and 1 for y
5^2 + 3(1)^2 + 2(5)(1)
25 + 3(1) + 10(1)
25 + 3 + 10 = 38
the ^2 mean to the second power or can also be called squared
