I think (1 mi = 5280 ft)
(95 mi/hr)(5280 ft/ 1 mi) = 501600 ft/hr
ft
hr
(.000111643 hr)*(3600 sec/hr) = t in sec
sec

A pitcher can throw a baseball 95 miles per hour. The ball travels at that speed for 56 feet, until it arrives at the batter. How many seconds, correct to the nearest thousandth of a second, does the batter have from the moment the ball is thrown, until it arrives

Step 1.

Step 2. Time = 95 mph/56 feet * (5280 feet/mile) (1 hour/3600 seconds) = 2.488 seconds = 2.5 seconds.

where 1 mile = 5280 feet, 1 hour = 60 minutes = 3600 seconds

Step 3. Answer is 2.5 seconds.

I hope the above steps were helpful.

A pitcher can throw a baseball 95 miles per hour. The ball travels at that speed for 56 feet, until it arrives at the batter. How many seconds, correct to the nearest thousandth of a second, does the batter have from the moment the ball is thrown, until it arrives.

The easiect way is to 1st convert 56 feet to miles. Since 5,280 feet = 1 mile, then 56 feet = = 0.010606061 mile
We now use the formula, D = RT, or to find the time, in hours

Therefore, Time, or T, in hours = = 0.000111643 hour

Since 3,600 seconds = 1 hour, we now convert 0.000111643 to seconds by multiplying it by 3,600.

This gives us 0.000111643 * 3600 = 0.401913876, or of a second.
