:
a. What is the volume of the box she has now?
12*12*12 = 1728 cu inches

b. What are the dimensions of the new box?
Let h = height of the new box
12 * (12+3) * h = 728
12 * 15 * h = 728
180h = 728
h =
h = 4.04 ~ 4 inches high
New box dimensions: 15 by 12 by 4
