Start with the given expression

Since the denominators are equal, this means that we can combine the fractions. So let's do so.

Combine like terms.

Because you already have a common denominator you can add these 2 numerators.
(m^2-6m+8m)/(m-2) Now combine the -6m & the +8m terms.
(m^2+2m)/(m-2)
m(m+2)/(m-2) ans.
