(0,1) (-2,-6)
slope=(y2-y1)(x2-x1)
slope=(-6-1)/-2-0)
slope=-7/-2 or 7/2
1=7/2*0+b
1=b
y=7x/2+1 ans. for the line equation.
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, 7x/2 +1).

plot the points and the slope of the line passing through the points.
(0,1) (-2,-6)
--------------------
slope = (-6-1)/(-2-0) = -7/-2 = 7/2
--------
intercept: (0,1)
--------
EQUATION:
y = (7/2)x + 1
