20y^2+3y=2 multiply each side by 100
20y^2+3y-2=0
20*-2=-40. What 2 factors of -40 add up to 3? Ans 8 & -5.
20y^2-5y+8y-2=0
5y(4y-1)+2(4y-1)=0 Factoring by grouping.
(5y+2)(4y-1)=0
5y=-2, 4y=1
y=-2/5, y=1/4
