:
Use a calc for each value of x and find y
for x = -3; enter (-2)^-3 = -.125, note that the bracket is important here.
the table
x | y
-------
-3 |-.125
:
Do the same with x = -2: enter (-2)^-2 = +.25
x | y
-------
-3 |-.125
-2 |+.25
Continue with x values, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, the table should look like this
x | y
-------
-3 |-.125
-2 |+.25
-1 |-.5
0 |+1
+1 |-2
+2 |+4
+3 |-8
:
Note the graph will consist of these points only, If you enter a non-integer value for x, you get an error.
NOte that even values for x, y is positive, odd values, y is negative
