    10x + 100*(6x) = 2440

Simplify and find x

    10x + 600x = 2440

       610x    = 2440

          x    = 2440/610 = 4.


ANSWER.  4 of 10-naira notes and 4*6 = 24 of 100-naira notes.

Each such group has a total value of 610 naira.

The number of those groups needed to make the given sum of 2440 naira is 2440/610 = 4.
