8C5 are number of ways altogether or 56 ways
for David the numerator is (1C1)(7C4)=35 ways, so probability is 35/56 which may be converted to a decimal if desired.
-
probability 0 of the girls will get one is 6C5*2C0/56 or 6/56
for 1 of the girls it is (2C1)(6C4)/56=30 /56
That total is 36/56 and may be reduced or converted to a decimal.

Notice that the problem formulation is DEFECTIVE.

It is defective, because the problem DOES NOT say that NO CHILD receives more than one apple.

As a consequence, different interpretations are possible,

meaning that the problem formulation is mathematically ambiguous.
