Question 1166358: Place 10 coins in five straight lines so that each line contains exactly four coins. Can you
arrange four coins so that if you choose any three of them (i.e., no matter which three of the four
you pick), the three coins you chose form the corners of an equilateral triangle?

Answer by ikleyn(52778)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

I do not understand clearly what is written in your post.

If to consider the first phrase as a separate self-standing assignment,
then the solution is a regular  5-corner star.

Draw it and mark all  10  its corners/vertices.
They are the places to put your corners there.

In this form,  your problem is not,  actually, a Math --- it is a typical puzzle,  instead.

What I totally do not understand,  is  IF  what follows is a separate assignment
or something  connected somehow with the first phrase.

Therefore,  let me give you an advise for the future:

NEVER place more than one problem to the post.

It is  PROHIBITED  by this forum rules.

If,  however,  your post contains different/separate parts,
then make sure please to present it in an  ADEQUATE  FORM  in your post.

To get this goal,  professional / (educated) writers use  PARAGRAFS
and place separate pieces of the text to separate paragraphs.
