Question 1097813: Tickets to a play cost $1.50 and 75 cents. If 520 tickets were sold for $555, how many of each kind were sold?
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=1.50 ticket
520-x=0.75 ticket
1.5x+(520-x)(0.75)=555
1.5x+390-0.75x=555
0.75x=165
x=220 tickets @1.50=$330
520-x=300 tickets@0.75=$225
adds to $555
