Question 1088450: Mathematical induction

How can we prove that :
(1 + 1 / 3) (1 + 5 / 4)(1 + 7 / 9)........{(1 + (2n + 1 / n2)} = (n + 1)2 for all n Є N.

Read your post.

I'd say that your formula is unreadable and incorrect at the same time.

To make it readable, use parentheses everywhere where it is REQUIRED.

To make tit correct, think on your first multiplier in parentheses.

    Also, I don't know what n2 means.
I know what n^2 means, but don't know about n2.

    similarly, I don't know what (n+1)2 means.
I know what (n+1)^2 means, but don't know about (n+1)2.

So, edit and re-post.

Thanks.

In whole, I think that it is LARGELY incorrect.

In any case, there is a bunch of lessons on the method of Mathematical induction in this site
    - Mathematical induction and arithmetic progressions
    - Mathematical induction and geometric progressions
    - Mathematical induction for sequences other than arithmetic or geometric
    - Proving inequalities by the method of Mathematical Induction

When you read them, you will know EVERYTHING about this method the school student must know about it. And even more . . .

Also, you have this free of charge online textbook in ALGEBRA-II in this site
