this my question:
5x+7=ax+3b. (X)-make x the subject

Hi there,
5x + 7 = ax + 3b
Collect like terms
5x - ax = 3b - 7
Take out x from the left hand equation.
(5 - a)x = 3b - 7
Divide both sides by (5 - a)
x = 3b - 7/5 - a
