Question 1042750: this is physics: A typical jetliner lands at a speed of 1.60 x 10^2 mph and decelerates at the rate of 4.47 m/s^2. if the plane travels at a constant speed for 1.0 s after landing before applying the brakes, what is the total displacement of the aircraft between touchdown on the runway and coming to rest?
Answer by ikleyn(52777) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
It is a bad style to mix different systems of units (mph, from one side, and , from the other side) in one problem.
I was going to help you in solving this problem, but stopped when saw it.
Surely, I can easily convert everything to uniform units, but don't want to participate in solution of a bad style formulated problem.
Also, writing "1.60 x 10^2 mph" seems to be very unprofessional in this context.
