the slope is equal to (y2-y1)/(x2-x1), where (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are any two points on the line.

assign (1,22) to (x1,y1)
assign (21,2) to (x2,y2)

slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = (2-22)/(21-1) = -20/20 = -1.

formula becomes y = -x + b

to solve for b, assign any one of the points to x and y.

using (1,22), you get 22 = -1*1 + b

solve for b to get b = 23
