Question 1031991: For which equation is it best to use the Factoring Method to solve this trinomial?
A.)
B.)
C.)

Clearly not B, because of the x^2 preceded by 3 (not a problem) but the middle term of 2.4.
A is prime, because if we complete the square, we have x^2+4x+4=-5+4, and that is (x+2)^2= -1, and x+2=+/- sqrt (-1)
C factors into (x-3)(x-1)=0. It is C.
