Question 1014129: f(x)=5x^2+50X+123 1/5 has a root at x=-4 2/5 , use the axis of symmetry to find the other root of the function.
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x^2+50x+123
vertex x value is -b/2a
vertex is -5 for x
y is -2
(-5,-1.8) is vertex.
symmetrical around x= -5
from vertex to one root x changes by +3/5, y changes plus 1.8
from vertex to other root x changes by -3/5, y changes plus 1.8 (-5.6,0)
