Solve by factoring:

x(x+10)=x+36

 x^2 + 10x = x + 36

 x^2 + 9x - 36 = 0

factoring

 (x+12)(x-3) = 0

  (x+12)=0   x = -12

  (x-3) = 0  x = 3

two solutions for x:  -12,3
