You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-2x%5E3-50x=GCF(other factor)
2 steps
#1 Find the GCF
#2 Find the other factor
We look for the GCF or greatest common factor.
we then divide each term by the GCF to get the 'other factor'
There are two terms -2x%5E3 and -50
There is a common factor of 2 in both.
Or, you could also say that there is a common factor of -2
Since the first term starts with a NEGAtive, and it
usually easier to factor when the 1st term is POSitive,
we will 'factor', or 'factor out', or 'take out' a -2.
Thus, -2 is the GCF or greatest common
factor.
So far we have -2x^3-50x=-2(other factor)
To find the 'other factor' after taking out a -2 we divide
each term by -2
-2x%5E3%2F-2+=+x%5E3++++++-50%2F-2+=+%2B25

-2x%5E3-50x=-2%28x%5E3%2B25%29+++
The problem is not prime because we were able to
factor.
