James spends 16,5% on groceries
andand 3,5% of his monthly salary transport
if his combined expenditure on groceries and transport amounts to R4 500

let x be his income
16.5%x+3.5%x = 4500
multiply by 100
16.5x+3.5x= 450000
20x=450000
x=22500
16.5% of 22500= $3712.50 groceries
3.5%0f 22500=$787.50 transport

1)How much does James earn per month
2)How much does he spend on transport per month
3)How much does he spend on groceries
