My friend has a 90% pure 8 oz bottle of DMSO. If one wanted to take it internally how would you dilute to 1%? Or, dilute 2 oz to 1%? I don't understand algebra so please list easy to understand solution.

two ounces diluted
.90*2=.01*(2+x)
x = 178.
You have to add 178 ounces to two ounces of DMSO to get it down to 1%
Remember you have almost full strength and want to cut down to almost nothing going from 90% (.9) to 1% (.01)
To dilute the whole bottle would be 4 times (4*178=712 ) that amount.
