Difference in price: 90 - 72 = 18
Divide 18 by the original: 18/90 = 1/5 = 0.20
Multiply by 100: 0.20*100 = 20%
The percentage discount was 20%
Answer by Seutip(231) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Discount = New Price/Old Price
Discount = $72/$90
Discount = 0.8
Tha's 80%
