if 200 is increased by 130%, this means that 1.3 * 200 is added to 200.
this means that 260 is added to 200 to make a total of 460.
your new number is 460.

130% of something is equivalent to 1.3 * something.
the percent of increase is 130%.
the rate of increase is 1.3
take the percent of increase and divide it by 100 to get the rate of increase.
