First, find out the speed he was last year:
50meters/100seconds = 0.5m/s
Then find out the speed of him now:
(0.5m/s)((1+0.25)/1)
=(0.5m/s)(5/4)
=(0.625m/s)
So now we can find the speed of the swimmer now
(50m)/(0.625m/s)
=80sec
So now he swim 50 meters for 80 seconds
