Question 807703: Jorge found the percent of change from $15 to $10 to be 50% what error did he make

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Percent change = ×100% = ×100% = ×100% = ×100% = 33 1/3 %.

The error made was dividing by the NEW amount instead of dividing by
the OLD amount.

That's because ×100% = ×100% = 50% which is
wrong.
