Question 79954: a dress regular sells for $140. the sale price is $95. What percent decrease of the sale price from the regualr price. I know this is simple, but i'm not thinking well right now. Thanks!
Answer by sofiyacherni(99) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
140 is 100% of price
95 is x% of price
140 --- 100
95 --- x
cross multiply
140x=100(95)
x=9500/140 which is 68% with rounding up
so 100%-68%=32%
32% decrease
