Question 742759: I am given a pie chart with three foreign languages on it, French( 25%), Italian (20%), Spanish (45%) and German (10%)
It also says no student is enrolled in more than one foreign language class, and The number of students enrolled in Italian is 36
The question asks "What is the total number of students enrolled in foreign language classes?"
Im not sure what to do

Answer by davethejackal(28)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
36 students signed up for italian.
From the pie chart we can see that 20% of students signed up for Italian.
Therefore 36 is 20% of the total.
20% is the same as one fifth so 1/5 of the total is 36.
Hence the total is 5 x 36 = 180
