Tickets to the Superbowl were selling for $325. When it got closer to the big game ticket prices skyrocketed to $3055. What was the percent of increase
---------------
3055-325 = 2730 (this is the amount of the increase)
2730/325=8.4 (this is the increase factor)
8.4= 840/100 = 840% (this is the percent increase)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Percent increase equals the amount of increase divided by the original amount times 100. In other words:
Percent+Increase=%28%28%243055-%24325%29%2F%24325%29%28100%29 this equals:
Percent+Increase=%28%28%242730%29%2F%24325%29%28100%29 and this equals:
Percent+Increase=%288.4%29%28100%29=840+percent
