let Ali has x dollars and Tahir has y dollars.
from the question, we have
x-y=36
x=(1+80%)y
by substituting the second equation into the first one, we have
(1+80%)y-y=36
80%y=36

by substituting y=45 into the first question, we have
x-45=36

Ali has 81 dollars.
