Question 588761: what is the percentage of change from 600,000 to 900,000 and is it a decrease or increase
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You're going from 600000 to 900000 (which is greater), so this is a percentage increase.

Percent Increase = [(New - Old)/Old] * 100

Percent Increase = [(900000-600000)/600000] * 100

Percent Increase = [300000/600000] * 100

Percent Increase = 0.5 * 100

Percent Increase = 50%
