How do you figure the percent increase from one number compared to another.
Ex. What is the percent increase from 96 to 141.

You need two steps:
1st: Quantity increase = 141-96 = 45
---
2nd: % increase = 45/96 = 46.88%

percent increase=(new no-old no)*100/old no
=(141-96)*100/96
=46.88%
