this year 75% of graduating class of a collage had taken at least 8 maths courses.

Of the remainging class members(25% of graduating class),

60% had taken 6 or 7 maths courses OR .65*.25 = .1625 of graduating class

 .75 + .1625 = .9125 of graduating class had taken 6 or more math classes

 1-.9125 = .0875 OR 8.75% had taken fewer than 6 math classes
