In a fish shop, 60% of the fish were guppies and the rest were angelfish. After 81 fishes were removed,the number of guppies decreased by 25% and the number of angelfish was 1/4 of the original number of angelfish.
a) How many guppies were removed?
b) How many angelfish were there at first?

let us say fishes are x
guppies =0.6x angelfish =.4x
x-81 is now the no. of fishes
guppies =.75*.6(x=.45x
angelfish = .25x*.4=.10x
total combined =x-81
.45x+.10x=x-81
x-0.55x=81
0.45x= 81
x=222 ANS
